Letters to river Ems (01) is a series of performances.

The Ems river estuary, at the Dutch-German border, is naturally two and a half meters deep at high tide, but is dredged to 16 meters for cruise and coal ships. In this rational but also liminal space Paula drags table, chair and writing materials up the dike and write letters to the delta; trying to re-enchant the water.
